Memorial to the late Charles Hill who held the post of Chairman of Horsington Parish Council for many years.
SIGNS COMMEMORATING THE CONTRIBUTION TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF HORSINGTON OF THE LATE CHARLES HILL are now in place outside and inside the village hall (which is to be renamed as a Community Hall in his honour) were erected today (Monday 30th October 2023). They have been generously and beautifully made by traditional signwriter Tim Fry (of Martin Dales), a friend of the family.
The hall committee is to meet to discuss how best to hold an event or commemoration to mark this and Charles' extraordinary contribution to the village -- as philanthropist, benefactor, a commitment to Horsington Parish Church 'All Saints', a creator of business and employment and especially, as friend, to all in the village - long term residents and newcomers alike.
